005: Fiery Misfortune
Jun. 27th, 2013 09:19 amSometimes, I believe that the drama around the Fudomine area never ends. I thought it was only eventful in middle school because we were angst-filled teenagers trying to sort out hormones and competitive spirits. Not because this area was filled with it. There was a fire in the mobile-repair shop, close to the deli.
After evacuating the deli and making sure that all of the gas/oil sections were turned off/emptied, I went to go see if they needed any help. A little boy and his dog had been stuck in the upstairs floor of the mobile-phone repairing shop. My fire-extinguisher came in handy today.
Usually, you'd leave this sort of thing up to the many fire-engines, but only one comes out to Fudomine nowadays, simply because of all the drug-addicts around this area and the propensity they have for burning down things. And the actual firefighters were too busy trying to stop the spreading of the flames to other stores.
So it was me that climbed the ladder and rescued them. They weren't burnt or hurt, luckily, but they inhaled a lot of smoke, so the boy's in hospital now. I don't know what happened to the dog. The fire didn't spread past the the mobile shop and the two shops around it, so my deli's safe, but we're all waiting for the police to say whether it was an accident or arson. I do hope it was an accident, but you can never tell.

Date: 2013-06-27 11:37 pm (UTC)You were not injured, I trust?
[ooc: Did you see the 'Prince of the Afternoon" or whatever that is strip where the teams were climbing a mountain to find treasure left by Yamato-sempai? See? Atobe anonymously donating things to Fudomine is totally canon! *grin* (But the change to Kamio totally made more sense. I had to laugh when I saw that though!)]

Date: 2013-06-28 12:57 am (UTC)And no, I was not. A little coughing and a couple of scrapes, but I'm careful with myself.
[ooc: I have not seen that! I shall go look now, but Atobe is shown to be extremely generous in canon too. I remember that much, even when he was being an idiot. The change to Kamio did make more sense, but I kind of liked the fact that Atobe donated, as well XD. Never mind, the Donation Fairy shall continue to be lavished upon ;)]

Date: 2013-06-28 04:34 am (UTC)I am glad you are better.
[ooc: Atobe isn't answering the question though...because he does help those in need...he just prefers not to take credit for it. Except for stuff like the Atobe Foundation and his Philanthropic work, but that's...for show? You know, "Oh, look, another rich guy throwing his money around so he can pretend he cares." Although his Foundation does do a lot of good work. He's considered by a lot of people to just be a figurehead who throws money at it.]

Date: 2013-06-28 04:55 am (UTC)Thank you.
[ooc: Hmm, Tachibana can't do stuff like that, so he's glad that Atobe does it. He can only affect the people directly in their lives. And the adventure thing cracked me up soo much. Rokkaku being left out again. Yukimura's racket toss. Echizen's utter lack of caring. Fudoumine in general. Loved it! Thanks for reccing it!]

Date: 2013-06-28 09:22 am (UTC)Oh? So you're really a good guy, huh? Playin it bad to make the neighbourhood safe....you really care about your friends. *gg*no subject
Date: 2013-06-29 03:51 am (UTC)Fuck no. I'm definitely not in any way good. They're all prayin fer the day when I get the fuck outta their neighborhood. An I give a fuck cause no one else will. Junkyard dogs gotta stick together.no subject
Date: 2013-06-28 02:27 pm (UTC)Surely the idea is to make it slightly less of a hellhole along the way as well? But in any case, it seems that we have the same ideals, if different methods of implementation.
And I shall be sure to inform the ones that stop by. They'll spread the word most likely, their information network is quite extraordinary.

Date: 2013-06-29 03:48 am (UTC)Maybe. An then I'll move on. Those who walk in the shadows has ta stay in the shadows. An yeah, I guess so. You can be the good guy an I'll do whatever the fuck I want.
Good. I know they will. Which is what I want.

Date: 2013-06-29 04:03 am (UTC)That isn't necessarily true, Akutsu-san. When it's over and if you've managed to keep your face out of the media/police, you could go back to being normal again. It is possible.
How about a bet? Whoever cleans up the neighbourhood first by their method, gets treated to dinner by the other. It'd be interesting.
(ooc: Now I really want to do a log between these two.)

Date: 2013-06-29 04:13 am (UTC)That's bullshit and ya know it. It'll never be over. There will always be some fucker somewhere that desperately needs me to punch them in the face with a tire iron.
A bet? Good two shoes Tachibana wants ta make a bet with me? Fine. Yer on. An I'll try ta stay alive long enough ta see it happen
[ooc: the tiny text is totally deleted and YES!! a log between these two would be epic!

Date: 2013-06-29 05:02 am (UTC)There's always going to be evil in the world, no denying that. But once you've cleaned up this place adequately, what then? What will you do? Why not try a normal life, when we get to that point?
Goody two-shoes? *laughs* As if. But I look forward to it.
[ooc: Let us make this happen, I want to see it~! Maybe one of the days that Akutsu stops by after Tachibana's store is "shut"? My email's arysthaeniru@gmail.com. Also, Tachibana spent a whole five minutes laughing at the goody two shoes statement, remembering the several delinquency slips he got from his middle school for beating up idiots.]

Date: 2013-07-01 02:51 am (UTC)Me? I'll prolly be dead by that point. So it don't much matter. Why fuckin plan fer a future. I got here an now ta worry bout.
That's right. Yer a fuckin saint compared ta me.
[ooc: you finally have a tag then. I is slow. And Akutsu just smirks at the hole delinquency slips thing and goes...it's that cute and points to his prison record!~]

Date: 2013-06-28 09:19 am (UTC)It was really brave what you did! (Need some more bandages?)
Just try not to overdo it. It'd suck if something happened to you. You need to take care of yourself too (Though, I'm probably the last one who should be telling you that ^^").

Date: 2013-06-28 02:23 pm (UTC)And this time, I didn't actually injure myself that badly, so no, I'm good on that front. (I'll try my hardest to keep myself intact. But helping others comes first.)

Date: 2013-06-28 07:46 pm (UTC)That's good. I'd hate to ave to tell Senri that you're in a hospital.
That's what I always tell myself...It usually ends with an 18 hours shift and mebeing too tired to move.

Date: 2013-06-29 12:59 am (UTC)Well, I know my limits. If I'm about to run myself into the ground, I will stop. Trust me, Oshitari-san. I'm not about to ruin myself, because that means I can't effectively help others.

Date: 2013-06-28 05:41 pm (UTC)Don't worry too much, Shinji, I have no intention to kill myself or hurt myself while doing this. I quite like being alive. I can do much more to help people when I'm alive.
no subject
Date: 2013-06-28 05:54 pm (UTC)And I may have to kill whoever is responsible for doing that.no subject
Date: 2013-06-29 01:01 am (UTC)And please don't, Shinji! Murder stains the soul in a way like no other. Self-defence and your own protection? Justified. But murder for revenge is still murder, even if the best intentions are behind it.no subject
Date: 2013-06-29 08:48 am (UTC)Doesn't matter. I'd do the same if anyone hurt Kamio or my sisters too.no subject
Date: 2013-06-29 03:18 pm (UTC)But Shinji, a human life, even if they've done something dreadful, can still change and repent. By killing someone, you cut off that potential to grow and learn and change. And you hurt yourself in the process. Besides, think of the legal mess.no subject
Date: 2013-06-29 04:03 pm (UTC)...... I don't believe people that bad can ever change. I've seen the damage done by someone just a little bad. I would have happily killed them for what they did to a friend of mine. But I haven' because I was told not to. I wouldn't really kill someone... Just hurt them. A lot.no subject
Date: 2013-06-29 04:36 pm (UTC)I suppose hurting is acceptable. Really, I've done it plenty of times, so I won't condemn you for that. But death's irreversible.
